Volunteer opportunities in Hong Kong

Giving back isn't just good for your karma and health. If you volunteer for helping people regularly and organize it efficiently, you will be facing a rare chance to make a difference in someone's life. And no matter if it's the children you care for, or elders, or animals, or people with no roof over their heads, the important thing is that you use the magnificent energy you have on something good instead of simply wasting it.

Really, though, think about it - we spend so much time worrying about our jobs, our looks, relationships or college perspectives.

Some of those people have no jobs.

Some of them have poor mental or physical health.

Some of those kids don't even dream about going to college.

They are the people you can help.

There are some organisations right here in Hong Kong, constantly looking for volunteers - and here's your chance to do some good:)

HandsOn Hong Kong (HOHK) strives to be the first point of contact for individuals in Hong Kong who want to be involved in community service. It's a nonprofit organization that actively recruits and manages volunteers to participate in volunteer activities operated by local charities. Using an international model of volunteerism that has been utilized in hundreds of cities worldwide, HandsOn Hong Kong acts as a bridge between volunteers and charity organization.

(The link will take you directly to their very busy calendar of events - you can sign up for some straight away!)

In our broken world, we can think of nothing we’d rather do than to be a crossroads, bringing together people in need and those who with resource to make a difference. The more of us who come together, the more we will together be able to impact a world that is dying…for help.

This organisation provides not only with various volunteeribg opportunities (sick children, animal rescue, conversation, medical, helping the refugees), but also with an instruction how to best start at finding your type of volunteer work.
